Access Statement for Bryn Meadows Golf Hotel & Spa
- Situated on hill top position.
- Large car park, tarmac surface with 2 designated disabled parking bays on the right hand side of the hotel building. The car park does slope downwards in places.
- Access via 12 steps down to main entrance or by wheelchair ramp indicated by blue disabled access signs either side of hotel. One access point into hotel is into the bar area via a side door, accessed from the ramp to the right of hotel entrance. Second access point into hotel reception area is also down this ramp, past conservatory restaurant and through an automated door. Disabled automated door also available into the Barn Suite via a ramp to the left of the hotel entrance.
- Contrasted floor (tile to carpet with metal edging) in reception area to other areas
- Reception desk is 1m 9cm in height
- Ground floor disabled toilet with limited access via inward opening door and pull cord safety alarm
- Subtle lighting throughout hotel with additional task lighting provided as required
- Portable ramp available in reception area by prior notice
- Designated disabled bedroom on ground floor with pull cord safety alarm and walk in shower
- Other bedrooms located either on ground floor or lower ground floors, accessed only via steps down and not serviced by a lift
- All bedrooms have non slip mats for bath use
- Bar access is via the foyer on the same level, via 3 steps from the bedroom and reception areas. Restaurant is accessed from the bar area with 2 steps down.
- Function rooms are various sizes, Beacons accessed up a flight of stairs and not suitable for those with mobility problems. Captains located on flat accessed via Bar area. Barn Suite accessed either externally via disabled ramp or internally off reception area and down few steps.
- Spa and leisure facilities accessed on flat from main reception. Poolside accessed down a step. Disabled toilet located poolside. No access equipment provided for pool or hydro-spa
Manicure/pedicure station on flat alongside relaxation room. Treatment rooms accessed up 2 steps - Golf Pro Shop is accessed via car park, ramp available to side leading into changing rooms.
- Fire alarm is audio only. Conference rooms equipped with audio induction loops for guests with hearing difficulties
- Reception is manned 7am - 11pm, outside of these hours the night porter is available. Main front doors are locked 11.30pm earliest/1am latest depending on hotel activity.
- The hotel regretfully has no literature in Braille.
- The complex welcomes guide dogs.
