AA Grading & Visit Wales Grading
Our 4 Star Grading Explained
Bryn Meadows is graded as 4 Star by Visit Wales and Visit Wales operates a policy whereby it only lists accommodation which has been fully inspected and graded for quality. The inspections or quality assessments are undertaken on an annual basis, so you can book with confidence, knowing that featured accommodation has been checked out by Visit Wales' own quality assessors.
Using a scale of 1-5 stars, Visit Wales grading provides the reassurance you need about what to expect before you arrive.
As a guide:
- 5 stars - exceptional quality
- 4 stars - excellent quality
- 3 stars - very good quality
- 2 stars - good quality
- 1 star - fair to good quality
AA and Visit Britain; both schemes in ‘Harmonisation’
Visit Wales also recognises and features other accommodation which has been inspected by the AA. As full participants in the AA accommodation scheme Bryn Meadows has been assessed under quality standards agreed between the AA and Visit Britain. The scheme rates hotels from 1-5 stars.
What does this mean and where do we feature?
- Hotels (Star Rating) - usually larger establishments offering a defined set of services and facilities. (1 – 5 stars)
- Guest Accommodation (Diamond Rating) - usually smaller establishments including smaller hotels, guest houses, B&B’s, farmhouses and inns. (1 – 5 diamonds)
- Hostels (Star Rating) - serviced and/or self-catering accommodation in hostels, back packers hotels and camping barns. (1 – 5 stars)
- Self-Catering (Star Rating) - cottages, houses, flats and apartments. (1 – 5 stars)
- Holiday Parks (Star Rating) - caravan, camping, touring and chalet parks. (1 – 5 stars)
- Holiday Villages (Star Rating) - as for Holiday Parks, but also offering extensive leisure facilities, food outlets and entertainment opportunities. (1 – 5 stars)
- National Accessible Scheme - rating for mobility (4 Levels), hearing and visual impairments.
