Each month we are going to introduce you to a different team at the resort, to provide further insight on their day to day duties, qualifications and their hard work and commitment...
All of the team, including the Fusion Spa Receptionists are all Level 3 trained in Beauty Therapy, which covers everything from facials, skincare treatments, manicure and pedicure services and make-up, as well as health and safety, which also includes what spa treatments are safe when pregnant and any adaptations they may need to make.
The team are also are trained by leading brand, Elemis, who focus on skills, operations and retailing that make a successful salon. A wide range of traditional and signature treatments are offered, so you should be spoilt for choice if you are not sure which spa treatment you should get.

There are 4 treatment rooms, including a dual room ideal for couples or friends, plus a Rasul Mud Room Chamber. This self-applied cleansing ritual uses mud, heat and steam. Starting with a salt scrub, followed by a marine mud before relaxing in the steam chamber. It is finished with a monsoon shower, which ultimately leaves skin feeling nourished and revitalised.
Did you know the team are award winning? Last year the Fusion Spa team were named overall winner of the ‘Spa of the Year’ at the Welsh Hair and Beauty awards. The team were also nominated for the award in 2015 and 2016, and have again been shortlisted for the award at the 2018 ceremony – which we are very excited about.
Also, Chelsey (pictured left) has been a member of Fusion Spa for nearly 3 years, but in the spring of 2017 was promoted to Senior Spa Receptionist. As a senior member of staff Chelsey is actively involved with driving the business forward. She leads a team of eight beauty therapists working alongside Spa Manager Julie Maddox and is key to monitoring standards and expectations of the team, and is responsible for training all new members. She is highly respected by her team, as well as all of the teams at the resort demonstrated with her eagerness to learn and her drive to succeed. This was shown by being shortlisted as ‘Employee of the Year’ at the annual Business Growth Awards 2018.
