There have been lots of changes over the last few months in Blas Restaurant. With weddings and large functions being moved over to The Fairway Suite this has meant that the bar is no longer crowded on weekends. The restaurant can now offer members, hotel guests and visitors a more relaxed visit.
Experienced restaurant hotelier Matthew Jenkins joined us at the end of June and will lead the team going forward. He has a wealth of work experience in hospitality, and being trained in five star establishments has meant he is a fantastic addition to the team. In the short time that he has been with us, Matthew has already improved the service by influencing the back of house procedure with our Chef’s and front of house tea including the professional standards from the initial greeting of guests to serving the food.

The very popular Tuesday offer has now also been extended to Thursdays. Between 12pm-3pm on both days, guests can choose 2 courses for £10.95. Some of the items on the sample menu include Pate of the day served with a crostini and onion chutney to start, followed by traditional fish and chips with peas or a Spanish omelette with a dressed salad. Those with a sweet tooth could enjoy a Penderyn whiskey white chocolate tart with Chantilly cream or a sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream.
This month’s speciality afternoon tea is themed for autumn for you to indulge on as the evenings start to get colder. Alongside the traditional sandwiches the sweet treats include fruits of the forest crumble tart, chocolate fudge, a gingerbread cupcake and a warm spiced pumpkin hot chocolate. These are priced at £19.95 per person and are served Monday to Saturday between 1pm-5pm and on Sundays between 3pm-6pm.
