Blogtober: Keeping things local
24 Oct

Shwmae from team Cwm a Mynydd.  We have been asked to put our fingers to the keys and join in Blogtober with the incredible Bryn Meadows.

You are all probably loving the daily blog posts from the team at Bryn Meadows but might be wondering who the heck team Cwm a Mynydd are?  Well, in a nut shell, we are all about rural development - that means working with farmers, supporting food producers, getting stuck in with furniture makers, working with communities, popping up at popup markets and promoting the amazing heritage and landscape of Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent.  If you want to, you can find out more about what we do by clicking here.

The specific reason we are here on this blog is because we love bringing people together; it could be a farmer and a chef, a brewer and a landlord, but we are working with the Bryn Meadows team and a very talented local food maker and a video production company to show the journey that local food makes from the kitchen of an artisan maker to an award winning 4* resort.  We will be capturing what passion drives quality produce, what sets it apart and how its Welsh identity sets it apart from its competitors.  Doing this work also helps to highlight the amazing makers and crafters that call this area home and the beautiful places where you can taste or experience it.

Over the next few weeks, you may see a film crew treading the halls at Bryn Meadows, taking in the views and getting tasty close-ups with the amazing local food you can buy here from Blas Restaurant or Winners Bar.  If you want to see the final product, make sure to check back here on the Bryn Meadows website or keep an eye on the home of all things Rural - Cwm a Mynydd - on facebook or twitter.

Hwyl Fawr!

We are taking part in #Blogtober which means we will be posting a different news article every day.  The challenge is to create new and exciting content for you to read throughout October.
